Practice Lead - Dynamics, Western Australia
In a world where technology is advancing at an increasingly rapid rate and finance systems have evolved to become enterprise spanning business solutions, it’s the role of the Solution Architect to understand the options and provide thought leadership in the design of solutions that are both practical and add real value.
For the last 10 years Craig has worked with more than 50 organisations to do just that. “When I work with organisations to design a solution, there are two things I keep in mind. The first is to identify the areas where the solution can add the most benefit or advantage. The second is to adopt a keep-it-simple approach to its design while ensuring those benefits and advantages are realised.”
Craig has worked with “mid-market” organisations with several to several hundred users. “Over the last four or five years the majority of my time has been involved in the design and deployment of solutions for businesses centred around selling services. This has included quasi-government agencies such as AgResearch and the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council as well as commercial businesses such as the Wakefield Hospital Group and House of Travel.”
This experience, built on his background as a Chartered Accountant, means Craig can bring best practice concepts as well as a practical approach to the design of the solutions he works on. “However, my responsibility extends beyond designing a good system; I also need to be able to provide direction on how the solution should be deployed, how long this will take and what it will cost.”
Outside of work, Craig spends most of his time being trained by his baby boy, Reuben, and continues his mission to find the best bar in Perth in which to watch the Super 14 and Tri-Nations rugby games.
“My satisfaction comes from seeing the solutions we deliver make our clients' lives easier and their businesses stronger."
